Acer Ecology will be running a range distance-learning wildlife courses in 2021. The Ecology Training Courses 2021 are aimed at anyone with an interest in local wildlife but could also be useful for undergraduates and postgraduates students or for anybody currently or aspiring to work in ecological consultancy or for environmental organisations.
We will be re-running our ever popular Phase 1 Habitat Survey course. This will introduce participants to the Phase 1 methodology to classify habitats. In 2021 this course will be run as a combination of the online and self-study sessions. The zoom sessions will take place on the evenings of 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd February 2021.
The course will cost £50.00 inclusive of VAT.
This course, aimed at beginners and intermediate users, will give participants the knowledge and skills to use the BatExplorer software to analyse recordings. The course costs £50.00 inclusive of VAT and will run from 6 until 8pm on each evening. with independent learning exercises provided between the two sessions.
This course will provides an introduction to the use of QGIS for ecologists. The course is suitable for beginners to GIS, those looking to refresh their skills or those looking to migrate to using QGIS software. The course costs £50.00 inclusive of VAT and will run from 6 until 8pm on each evening. with independent learning exercises provided between the two sessions.
