Bat Survey Merthyr

Acer Ecology was commissioned to undertake a bat survey of numerous outbuildings within Cyfarthfa Park, Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales in advance of refurbishment works.

Common pipistrelles, soprano pipistrelles, brown long-eared bats and lesser horseshoe bats are some of the resident bat species that live in the UK.  All bats and their roosts are fully protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017. As such, your local planning authority may ask you to commission a bat survey in order to evaluate the potential disturbance to bats and their roosts.

At Acer Ecology, we are able to help ensure that your development passes smoothly through this process. Our ecologists are experienced in bat surveying, European Protected Species licensing, and mitigation design and implementation. We provide competitive quotes based on your project needs and are able to take on projects throughout South Wales. Our ecologists serve South Wales and the border regions of England.
