bat survey aberdare rhondda cynon taff

Acer Ecology was commissioned to carry out a bat survey of a former Chapel in Cwmdare, near Aberdare in the Rhondda Cynon Taff county borough, South Wales.

Bats and their roosts are fully protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017.

Has your local planning authority asked you to undertake a bat survey?

Our ecologists are experienced in bat surveying, European Protected Species licensing, and mitigation design and implementation. We are able to provide a competitive quote to potential clients on a case by case basis. If part of your planning application requires a bat survey then we can help ensure that your development passes smoothly through this process.

The objective of a bat survey is to:

  • Establish the presence/ likely absence of the bat roosts within trees and buildings;
  • Identify the activity of bats across the site and key commuting and foraging routes; and
  • Recommend ecological mitigation and enhancement where required.

Acer Ecology can provide surveys across Rhondda Cynon Taff as well as across South Wales.
