bat survey pembrokeshire

We were commissioned to carry out a bat survey of a dilapidated building in Roch, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, West Wales. The building was proposed for demolition prior to the construction of a new dwelling.

Bats and their roosts are fully protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017.

Surveys for bats aim to:

  1. Establish the presence / likely absence of the bat roosts within buildings and trees;
  2. Identify the activity of bats across the site including key commuting and foraging routes; and
  3. Recommend ecological mitigation and enhancement where required.

Our ecologists are experienced in bat surveying, European Protected Species licensing, mitigation design and implementation and supervision of works. We can help ensure that your development passes through this process smoothly. Identifying ecological constraints early in the planning process has proven to be both cost-effective and time-saving in the long run.
