We recently carried out a bat survey at a stable complex that was proposed for conversion in Hillingdon. No evidence of bats was recorded within the building, and it was considered to have low bat roost potential due to the lack of potential access points and roosting locations. We worked alongside our client to ensure that the project progressed smoothly through the planning process.
We are experienced and an expanding ecological consultancy specialising in bat surveys.
We are well placed to carry out bat surveys throughout Hillingdon, including in Cowley, Cranford, Eastcote, Harefield, Harlington, Harmondsworth, Hayes, Hillingdon, Ickenham, Longford, Northwood, Ruislip, Sipson, Uxbridge, West Drayton, Yeading and Yiewsley, as well as the surrounding boroughs of Hounslow, Ealing, Harrow, Brent and Barnet.
Bats and their roosts are fully protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017.
The objective of a bat survey is to:
- Establish the presence / likely absence of the bat roosts within trees and buildings;
- Identify the activity of bats across the site and key commuting and foraging routes; and
- Recommend ecological mitigation and enhancement where required.
We are able to provide a competitive quote to potential clients on a case by case basis.
