Bat Survey Hereford

Bats and their roosts are fully protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017.

Local planning authorities may request a survey for bats due to this legislation. The objective of a bat survey is to:

  • Establish the presence / likely absence of the bat roosts within trees and buildings;
  • Identify the activity of bats across the site and key commuting and foraging routes; and
  • Recommend ecological mitigation and enhancement where required.

If part of your planning application requires a bat survey, then we can help ensure that your development passes smoothly through this process. Our fully licensed ecologists are experienced in bat survey, European Protected Species licensing, and mitigation design and implementation. We are able to provide a competitive quote to potential clients on a case by case basis.

We are an experienced and expanding ecological consultancy specialising in bat surveys, and are therefore well placed to undertake bat surveys in the across Herefordshire, including Hereford, Leominster, Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury, Much Dewchurch, Much Marcle, Ewyas Harold, Bromyard, Monkland, Wigmore and Eardisley, as well as the Wye Valley and Malvern Hills.
