Acer Ecology was commissioned to carry out a bat survey of a cottage in Coytrahen in Bridgend County Borough, South Wales.
Bats and their roosts are fully protected in the UK under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017. Therefore, your local planning authority may ask you to have a bat survey done. A bat survey will establish the presence or likely absence of bat roosts within trees and buildings, and identify bat activity (including key commuting and foraging routes), which will allow our expert ecologists to design appropriate mitigation where it is required.
Our ecologists are experienced in bat surveying, European Protected Species licensing, and mitigation design and implementation.
