Acer Ecology has recently undertaken a bat survey of a proposed barn conversion deep in the Cotswolds. Our team of fully licensed ecologists can help guide your project smoothly through the planning process, from surveys, to implementation of appropriate measures and licensing.
Under the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 and the Wildlife and Countryside Act, bats and their roosts are fully protected.
Surveys for bats aim to establish the presence or likely absence of bat roosts within buildings and trees and to identify bat activity across the site highlighting key commuting and foraging routes. We work closely with our clients to recommend mitigation and enhancement measures (where required) which are appropriate to the client’s needs.
Our ecologists are able to undertake surveys in throughout Gloucestershire, including Chipping Campden, Great Rissington, Cirencester, Stroud, Coleford and Eastleach, as well as the surrounding counties: Herefordshire, Monmouthshire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Bristol.
If you would like to discuss more about bat surveys, or find out more information of our other ecological services, please contact Acer Ecology on 02920 650 331, or email enquiries@acerecology.co.uk.
