Bat Survey, Beddau llantwit fadre

We were commissioned to carry out a bat survey of a semi-derelict house in Bryncae near Llantrisant, Rhondda Cynon Taff, South Wales.

Acer Ecology is an ecological consultancy specialising in conducting bat surveys. Our ecologists are experienced in bat surveys, European Protected Species licensing, and mitigation design and implementation. We regularly undertake bat surveys in the Rhondda Cynon Taff and neighbouring counties of Bridgend, Neath Port Talbot, Merthyr Tydfil, Caerphilly, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.

The objective of a bat survey is to:

  • Establish the presence / likely absence of the bat roosts within trees and buildings;
  • Identify the activity of bats across the site and key commuting and foraging routes; and
  • Recommend ecological mitigation and enhancement where required.

Bats and their roosts are fully protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017.  Our ecologists are experienced in bat surveys, European Protected Species licensing, mitigation design and implementation and supervision of works.
