Course content:
The course will help you to learn about the principles of aquatic plant identification and put them into practice around some of the sites in Cardiff Bay. This course aims to give an introduction to the morphology and terminology of aquatic plants and how to identify the most common species in Cardiff Bay. Emphasis will be placed on key characters to distinguish each species from similar looking aquatic plants. Also the ecology of the plants will be taken into account.
Participants will gain skills and experience in:
- Aquatic plant morphology and terminology
- Species identification
- How to differentiate similar looking species
Items to bring:
- Appropriate footwear and clothing for outdoors.
- Notepad/writing equipment (optional).
Course Booking
- The course costs £15.00 per person inclusive of VAT.
- Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.
- The course will be partly field based and so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing.
- All attendees will be issued with a certificate of attendance.
- The course will run from 5.30pm until 8.30pm.
- The course will be held at our office in Cardiff Bay.
