Acer Ecology’s licensed ecologists have carried out extended Phase 1 habitat Surveys (Preliminary Ecological Appraisals) in and around Malvern, Worcestershire.
We recently surveyed an agricultural site that backed on to a broadleaved woodland copse. The development proposals entailed partial clearance of the woodland edge, along with the breaching of a hedgerow. While on site, our ecologists were able to map the habitats present within the site and identify any potential ecological impacts that may arise. We were then able to work alongside our client to guide their project progressed smoothly through the planning process. We recommended further dormouse and bat surveys at the site, along with a range of precautionary and enhancement measures that would ensure the continued ecological integrity of the site.
