If part of your planning application requires a bat survey, then we can help ensure that your development passes smoothly through this process. Our ecologists are experienced in bat surveying, European Protected Species licensing, mitigation design and implementation and supervision of works.
Bats and their roosts are fully protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017.
As a result of this legislation, local planning authorities may require you to have a bat survey done in order to protect bats and their roosts. The objective of a bat survey is to establish the presence / likely absence of the bat roosts within trees and buildings, to identify the activity of bats across the site and key commuting and foraging routes; and to recommend ecological mitigation and enhancement where required.
We are well placed to carry out bat surveys in and around Worcester, including Powick, Hallow, Droitwich Spa, Kempsey, Suckley, Welland, Upton upon Severn, Eckington, Pershore, Pinvin, Inkberrow and Stoke Prior. We also serve the surrounding counties of Warwickshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and West Midlands. We are able to provide a competitive quote to potential clients on a case by case basis.
