Inside the church spire

Under the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 and the Wildlife and Countryside Act, bats and their roosts are fully protected.

Acer Ecology has recently undertaken a bat survey of a proposed barn conversion near Truro, Cornwall. Our team of fully licensed ecologists can help guide your project smoothly through the planning process, from surveys, to implementation of appropriate measures and licensing.

Surveys for bats aim to establish the presence or likely absence of bat roosts within buildings and trees and to identify bat activity across the site highlighting key commuting and foraging routes. We work closely with our clients to recommend mitigation and enhancement measures (where required) which are appropriate to the client’s needs.

Our ecologists are able to undertake surveys in throughout Cornwallincluding Newquay, Falmouth, Mabe, Penryn, Perran-ar-Worthal, Camborne, Redruth, Hayle, St Ives and Penzance, as well as the county next door: Devon.

If you would like to discuss more our bat surveys or find out more information about our other ecological services, please contact Acer Ecology on 02920 650 331, or email enquiries@acerecology.co.uk.
