We are an experienced and expanding ecological consultancy specialising in bat surveys, and are well placed to undertake bat surveys in and around Torbay and the surrounding areas including Paignton, Maidencombe, Marldon, Totnes, Dartmouth, Newton Abbot and Teignmouth. We also cover the counties surrounding Devon, including: Cornwall, Dorset, Somerset and Gloucestershire.
Does your planning application need a bat survey?
We can help ensure that your development passes through this process smoothly. Identifying ecological constraints early in the planning process has proven to be both cost effective and time saving in the long run.
Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017, bats and their roosts are fully protected.
The objective of a bat survey is to: Establish the presence or likely absence of bat roosts within buildings and trees; Identify the activity of bats across the site including key foraging and commuting routes; and Recommend ecological mitigation and enhancement where required. Our ecologists are experienced in bat surveys, European Protected Species licensing, mitigation design and implementation, and supervision of works.
