Bat Survey Newbury

We are an experienced and expanding ecological consultancy specialising in bat surveys and are well placed to undertake bat surveys in Newbury and the surrounding areas of Berkshire including Bishop’s Green, Thatcham, Tadley, Calcot, North Wessex Downs, and Sonning. We also cover the surrounding counties Surrey, Middlesex, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire.

Is a bat survey required for your planning application?

Our professional team can help to ensure a smooth progression of your development through the planning application process. Our ecologists are experienced in bat surveys, European Protected Species licensing, mitigation design and implementation and supervision of works.

Bats and their roosts are fully protected under the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 and the Wildlife and Countryside Act. Bat surveys aim to establish: the presence or likely absence of the bat roosts within trees and buildings; identify the activity of bats across the site including key commuting and foraging routes; and recommend ecological mitigation and enhancement where required.
