Acer Ecology was commissioned to carry out a bat survey of an industrial building in Llanelli, which is proposed for the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and associated electrical equipment on the roof of the building.
Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017, all bats and their roosts are fully protected. As such, you may be asked by your local planning authority to undertake a bat survey.
Identifying ecological constraints early in the planning process is both time-saving and cost-effective.
Our ecologists are experienced in bat surveying, European Protected Species licensing, and mitigation design and implementation. We cover Llanelli and nearby towns including Carmarthen, Gorseinon, Pembrey, Burry Port, and Gowerton. From our office in Cardiff, we also have the capacity to serve the counties surrounding Carmarthenshire, including Swansea, Powys and Neath Port Talbot.
