Acer Ecology has recently conducted bat survey in Warminster on a building proposed for development. Our offices are well placed to conduct surveys in around Warminster, such as Frome, Westbury, Market Lavington, Shrewton and Shaftesbury, and the wider Wiltshire area. We also have the capacity to undertake surveys in the neighbouring counties of Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
Does your planning application need a bat survey?
Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010, bats and their roosts are fully protected in the UK. As a result of this, your local planning authority may ask you to have a bat survey done.
A bat survey will establish the presence or likely absence of bat roosts within trees and buildings, and identify bat activity (including key commuting and foraging routes).
Our experienced ecologists work with our clients to provide recommendations on appropriate ecological mitigation and enhancement, and can guide you smoothly through the planning process. We are able to provide a competitive quote to potential clients on a case by case basis.
If you would like to discuss more about bat surveys or find out more information of our other ecological services, please contact Acer Ecology on 02920 650 331, or email email@example.com.
