Does your planning application need a bat survey?
Acer Ecology is an ecological consultancy who specialises in undertaking bat surveys. Our fully licensed ecologists work with our clients to help guide them smoothly through the planning process.
All bats and their roosts are fully protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017. Bat surveys aim to:
- Establish the presence/likely absence of bat roosts within trees and buildings; and
- Identify the activity of bats across the site including key commuting and foraging routes.
Using this information, we can recommend ecological mitigation and enhancement measures where required, and tailor these where possible to the needs of the client.
From our offices in Cardiff, we have previously undertaken bat surveys in and around Newent, Gloucestershire. We are able to perform surveys in Brand Green, Hartpury, Tibberton, Huntly, Aston Ingham and the wider Gloucestershire area. We also have the capacity to take on surveys in the surrounding counties, including Monmouthshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and Bristol.
We are able to provide a competitive quote to potential clients on a case by case basis.
