We are an experienced and expanding ecological consultancy, specialising in bat surveys, with offices in Birmingham, Cardiff and Exeter.
We undertake bat surveys in and around Birmingham and the West Midlands including in Edgbaston, Erdington, Handsworth, Harborne, Kingstanding, Ladywood, Northfield, Perry Barr, Selly Oak, Small Heath, Sparkhill and Sutton Coldfield.
If part of your planning application requires a bat survey, then we can help ensure that your development passes smoothly through this process.
The objective of a bat survey is to establish the presence / likely absence of the bat roosts within trees and buildings, to identify the activity of bats across the site and key commuting and foraging routes; and to recommend ecological mitigation and enhancement where required.
Bats and their roosts are fully protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act and the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010. Our fully licensed ecologists are experienced in bat survey, European Protected Species licensing, mitigation design and implementation and supervision of works. Our ecologists will also check for the presence of nesting birds during surveys for bats.
